Gold365 Exchange — Complete FAQ

What is the Gold365 Exchange?

A peer-to-peer betting marketplace where users bet against each other. You can back (bet it will happen) or lay (bet it will not happen). Odds are market-driven — better than sportsbook prices because no house margin is included.

What is the difference between the Exchange and the Sportsbook?

On the sportsbook you bet against Gold365 at their set odds. On the exchange you bet against other users at market-driven odds. Exchange odds are typically 10–20% better, and you can also act as the bookmaker by laying outcomes.

What does "back" and "lay" mean?

Back = bet the event will happen (standard bet). Lay = bet the event will NOT happen (you act as the bookmaker). If you lay Team A and Team A loses, you win the backer's stake. If Team A wins, you pay the liability.

What are session markets?

Session markets are back/lay markets on run totals for specific portions of a match — Powerplay runs (overs 1–6), 10-over totals, or a batting partnership. They run simultaneously with the main Match Odds market during live cricket.

When are exchange markets settled?

Markets are settled within minutes of the match or event conclusion. Winnings credit to your Gold365 wallet immediately after settlement.

Why was my bet not matched?

Your requested price may have moved before a counter-party matched your bet. In fast-moving in-play markets, prices change with every delivery. Unmatched bets sit in the market until matched or can be cancelled and re-placed at the current price.

What happens when markets suspend in-play?

Markets temporarily suspend around wickets, DRS reviews, or other significant events to prevent betting on known outcomes. Suspension lasts a few seconds. All unmatched bets are held in place during suspension — they do not cancel.
